This was a very beautiful event that I witnessed at exactly 10:00 PM. I was driving straight North on country roads, heading home, and was just about to crest a hill when I observed the object almost straight ahead, 45-50 degrees up and traveling from my right to my left, East to West. I didn\'t notice any movement North and South but that would have been hard to ascertain from my viewpoint. I would have guessed the flight path to be at least 100-150 north of my location (3 miles from the southern Nebraska border). It also made no appearance of decreasing in altitude. I don\'t remember it going so far as to disappear over the horizon, but after 5-8 seconds it disappeared Northwest of me. The object was barrel or football shaped and had a very bright glowing center and emitted pulsating variations of fairy/hazy neon green and had a short but significant tail.
