Remarks | I thought I saw a star in the sky, then it started moving slowly to the south. After a few seconds, I figured it was a jet, but it had no flashing strobes or associated sound. Just a bright, white light which looked just like the close two stars. Then as I had watched it started to dim and finally disappeared. It had traveled aproximately 25 to 30 degrees across the sky and left no trail. My house is at 8,520 feet in the Rocky Mountains. We hear the jets as they go over. This meteor was just a white light..., no trail, no explosive ending. Just slowly dimming until it finally went out. I have never seen anything like this before. I am a retired Naval fighter pilot and have seen my share of meteors. |
