Remarks | It was a beautiful experience. I called Kitt Peak - no answer, tried Mt Lemmon Sky Center - no reply, Davis Montham Air Base - they had no information and suggested I call another department in the morning..which I did...no one knew anything...[hard to fathom]. I also called KVOA last night, but they had no reports of that sort. It was amazing to experience, and so odd, because a few minutes after it crossed our wonderful view of the sky, a jet flew over the Rincons and it seemed to be traveling at \'snails\' pace in comparison. As I drove home, in a NE direction, I took an extra drive...and saw a bright orange [pumpkin orange] sphere, cross slowly from west to east. I stopped to call my family and ask them to go outside to see it....this one seemed much slower and at a lower altitude. I lost view of it over the Rincon Mountains. Would love to have some sort of confirmation as to what we saw.....and after seeing the orange object...my curiousity is at its peak! Thank you for providing all of us with a venue to share our experience! |
