The trail has tall trees on both sides obscuring a wider view. I saw the fireball appear out of the tree line to the east of the trail at about 30 Degrees altitude and curve slightly downward as it crossed to the west of the trail and got lost behind the tree tops on that side. The time (8:13 EST) is approximate and based on a text I sent at 8:18 asking a friend with internet to check on this. After the sighting and hiking along there was first a short conversation with the man next to me, who saw the end part of the fireball when I exclaimed \"Look at that!\". Then I composed the text but it took longer than usual trying to walk and find the non-qwerty keys.
