Remarks | It was right near Manchester Airport; I was driving on the motorway at the time but with plenty of space around so I could watch it whilst driving. I had music on so no idea if it made any noise? A few seconds after it had flared up and vanished I thought, "I hope that wasn't part of an aircraft!?" After googling today's news and seeing if anyone else had seen it ... how could they not, it was far larger than what I'm used to spotting when looking at the say the Leonids I've not found any reports of the meteor or aircraft news (thank goodness!). Great sight, feel very lucky. :) |
