Reports Report 5067n (Event 5067-2018)

Remarks I found it especially interesting that there were no reports or warnings before the event. Any comet or meteor that I can recall that is predicted to be visible is generally reported so people and researchers can be on the look out. The only other similar reports I could find were from some people in Texas and New Zealand, but they were all written around November 14th, 5 days ago, which doesn't make much sense to me considering my very remedial understanding of orbital physics. I live in downtown Chicago and have never seen a moving object anywhere near city limits, but this occurrence was clear as day and illuminated the light polluted sky. It was absolutely enormous. It took me an hour or so to really grasp what I saw and I still cannot find any real explanation or corroboration to help me understand. Any kind of insight would be hugely appreciated.

Observation Yes
Duration 3s
Length 10°
Remarks I saw a white streak in my peripheral and by the time I was fully looking at it, it was a bright green circle with a flare. It had a long tail as moved and what looked like the energy that is emitted when an object breaks through the atmosphere. It stopped moving and froze for a moment before fading away. It was by far the largest cosmic entity I have ever seen.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks I noticed the streak and saw it as it turned bright green. The initial color change was dramatic and it slowly became a duller green while moving, before the entire sighting faded completely.
Fragmentation
Observation Unknown
