Remarks | I am an amateur astronomer (with no meteor viewing experience) and a physics student at the local university. I was not observing at the time, just getting something from the hardware store in town. This was brief, very bright, and a brilliant green (I would say light green). A very unexpected and exciting experience. There was a fair amount of people present at nearby businesses so perhaps others saw it and have not reported. While this is a belated report, I am certain of the time. The apparent altitude, location, and trajectory are in the right ball park. |
