Remarks | Whilst I have no genuine astronomy experience, I rise in the dark hours of every day and watch the sky whilst I drink my cup of tea in the garden. I've seen dozens of shooting stars, tiny streaks that flash momentarily in the high sky, often see satellites rapidly and steadily crossing the sky until out of the predawn sun reflection. This seemed massive by comparison, bright white, immensely fast moving, silent as far as I could tell, and clearly lower than normal shooting stars. I saw no terminal flash but it disappeared out of view, obscured by the house next door. |
