Remarks | I was camped next to the PCT, photographing the milky way in the southern sky. The canyon lit up in an eerie blue glow. I turned my head in time to catch the meteor in the northern or northeastern sky, pretty high up. I'm reporting this over a year later, so I'm not certain about the trajectory. Also, my time could be off by as much as a few hours, and I got up in the middle of the night to pee and decided to take some pictures, so it could have been as much as a few hours earlier or as much as an hour later. I'm going by the time stamped on my photos from that night. Wish I'd had my tripod pointed north! |
