Shaped like a horizontal rectangle with rounded corners. At least as bright as the full moon. Uniform colour/brightness and steady movement so I felt it was not a Chinese lantern. Slower than a 'shooting star'. Passed behind tall trees that were approx. 15m from my position. Witnessed by a person sitting next to me, from first floor of house.
