Experience Level | 2/5 |
Remarks | Yes, a few things: from my point of view it was a little to the right of the moon at about the same height as the moon. The orange ball, before it broke up, appeared to be about a quarter of the size of the moon. Of course it wasn't, because the moon was much farther, but that is how it appeared from my point of view. The orange streak length was about 5 moons long, and it appeared pretty slow moving, compared to some others I've seen. Magical! |

Persistent train | |
---|---|
Observation | No |
Duration | - |
Length | - |
Remarks | Since I observed this just to the right of the moon, I'll say that the train was about the length of 5 moons or so. The orange fireball itself was about the size of a quarter of the moon, as it appeared next to the moon. |
Terminal flash | |
---|---|
Observation | No |
Remarks | There was no obvious flash, but rather a sudden break-up into many pieces which appeared to "explode" in all directions, then they disappeared a fraction of a second later. |
Fragmentation | |
---|---|
Observation | Yes |
Remarks | It broke up into many pieces after about 1.5 seconds from when it first appeared. Some of the pieces were brighter and larger, and some smaller and dimmer. |
