Remarks In over 50 years, I only say 1 other shooting star. My first though was this may have been an exploding aircraft until I researched recent meteors & descriptions on the internet.

Remarks The Bolide was a quick, sausage shaped very bright white flash followed by a meteor shaped image of red smoke. I was driving on I-495 southbound and couldn't tell how long the red part lasted due to trees. Maybe a few seconds or more.
