Remarks The meteor sped across the sky from almost due north to due south about 2/3's way up from the horizon. I originally thought it was a satellite since I've seen many over the years but this moved much faster than normally seen. Then as it dimmed out there was a fairly bright flash for less than a half second and it was gone.
