I still don't know what I saw. Some people nearby said their lights flicker, so they assumed from my description a transformer blew. But I did see a streak traveling from north to south before the "explosion". I can't say for certain there was no sound. I wasn't able to hear outside sounds. If there was one it would have been faint enough for me not to notice.

Remarks
I was in an older model car with a radio and heat, so I did not hear any noise. But not to sure I would have heard anything. But did not feel any kind of boom either. I called home right after and no one heard or saw anything. A Neighbor did report seeing the light.

Remarks
The sky was lit up green. There was a white trail left in the light. The sky was cloudy where I was, and still some ambient light so I did not see anything after the green light disappeared.

Green and very bright, brighter than lighting. Lit up over 1/4 of the visible sky.
