Remarks | Totally unexpected, just happened to be in my field of vision as I was talking in my backyard. So bright and golden fading into a white tail, seemed huge but far very very off not as tiny in the sky as comets I'd seen - this thing moved that distance in the sky very quickly. I judge this by noting it was far faster than a commercial plane would cover that distance in the same piece of sky in my backyard. No smoke like that Russian one in some videos back in 2013 (not sure of year). No one else present happened to see it unfortunately. I lost sight of it behind the houses and trees next door. It was like nothing I've ever seen before. I was speechless for minutes afterward. Just found out about this site by making this reddit response: https://www.reddit.com/r/pittsburgh/comments/8s56ux/meteor_i_was_in_lawrenceville/ |
