Remarks | I was NOT skywatching, but inside house, going to bed. Saw huge, green meteor out the window gliding STRAIGHT down. I could even see it through the white cloth curtain (loose weave), on bottom half of the window as well. My SW view has a low hill, so while it was sailing straight down, I did not actually see it "on the horizon," b/c it disappeared behind the low hill, still very bright and strong at that point. VERY exciting!! I am an avid skywatcher. I clicked "brighter than Venus" but it was about the same as Venus at her brightest (which is rare) and with the HUGE tail, and bright green, so overall emitting MUCH more light! |
