Reports Report 1626w (Event 1626-2012)

Observer
Name Stephen
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I was unable to get your automatic direction mapping function to work. I witnessed the trajectory of the fireball from 85 degrees South to 240 degrees West. It was already in progress when I turned my truck South and it came into my field of view, I watched it until trees blocked my view close to the Western horizon. I expect it would have been visible from horizon to horizon, traveling from East to West. One notable characteristic was the apparent oblong shape of the meteor. The fireball and it\'s tail gave the impression that the meteor was less like a cannon ball in form and more like a modern artillery projectile.
