Remarks We were inside our home watching a movie, so we didn\'t hear anything. It was very bright, green/white head and blue/white tail. Disappeared behind the Sangre De Cristo mountain range to our west and was visually still going strong as it went behind the mountains. Thought it was an airplane at first, with bright landing lights, then realized it was a meteor or something falling from the sky. Looked like others I\'ve seen that have fragmented, so pretty sure it was a meteor. Given its height and brightness, it could have made it to impact the earth, depending upon distance from us. Very cool sight to see on New Year\'s Eve. Happy New Year with \"real\" fireworks!
