Reports Report 717w (Event 717-2018)

Observer
Name Matt S
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks This was from a pelagic birding trip (boat) off of La Jolla, CA. Several of the birders (5-10) that were on the bow of the boat at the time saw this amazing daytime fireball. It was actually the highlight of the trip as birding was quite slow today on the ocean. Note that when the observer's location is plotted on the ocean it gives a negative elevation; obviously we were at sea level.
