Remarks North to south, low and level, dropping very slightly at peak. Guess over Wiston ,Wasington or west of Chantonbury Ring. Dropping bits (10 plus) all the way. Did not appear to reach the coast.

Remarks A smoke trail that broke as the light broke apart, dropping bits of where glowing for split seconds then leaving their own small smoke trails which lasted as long as the main smoke trail.

Remarks Bits where falling off all the time I saw it, burning orange. The leading part of the light got smaller each time and ended its life the same as the others but may have seemed brighter, hence dont know if this is what you mean by "terminal explosion.
