Remarks | I am a 68 yr old farmer, seen a lot of shooting stars etc but have never seen an incident like this so close it looked like it landed in the neighbor's yard. I am a pilot so I estimate the first sighting through my LR window at about 5000' and watched a bright green trail with same color large fireball right to the ground, lasting a couple of seconds. Roughly 140 degrees south east as I immediately went to my gun cabinet for the compass and took a bearing after the fireball hit the horizon. I couldn't drag the "blue guy" on your website far enough on the satellite map to my farm but it was close. My sighting location was within a few miles at: 51 .14495 lat -98-37372 long |
