Remarks a few seconds after it went over the horizon I heard a boom, but it is New Years Eve so cld have been a firework but timing was very appropriate and it was only 5.30pm ish (although dark with a relatively full moon). It was moving far too fast and was far too large to be an aircraft or a firework and the angle was completely wrong. Also it was pale green with a yellow tinge at the rear. Just past the horizon where is disappeared from view is the Bristol Channel if it missed land and on the other side of the sea is Wales - have absolutely no idea where it would have come down
