Remarks -
Delayed Sound
Observation Yes
Remarks I heard what sounded like a long rising gush of wind but thought it was weird because I didn\'t feel anything and when I looked up the trees didn\'t move. That\'s when I saw the comet. But maybe seconds before I thought I heard a sound like a dull thunder roll - I at first thought someone had shot off a firework but it definitely was NOT. It was too large, low, bright and consistent.
Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 5s
Length 40°
Remarks Last night at 7:45 I was sitting on my deck enjoying the fall air and breeze. I heard something like a strong wind, but the trees didn’t move, and when I looked up I saw a huge orange colored fire ball trailing an equally bright colored firey orange tail. It was not fleeting like a shooting star; it was trailing more slowly and much closer. It was barely above the tree line. I swear it landed close by! It never lost intensness or color, just seemed to \"plunge\" down. I was stunned and awed at the same time. I called my husband to tell him which is why I know the exact time (7:51) I live on one of the highest hills in Bellingham MA 02019, 26 Littletree Lane. Have there been any similar sightings in that area? Please send any news that you may have. Thank you.
Terminal flash
Observation No
Remarks I saw one consistent trail of a large ball and tail or \"flume\". The \"tail\" was almost the width of the ball. It seemed almost in slow motion. Bright reddish orange. I thought it was amazing.
Fragmentation
Observation Unknown
