Remarks It split in to two fragments about halfway between the time I saw it and it disappeared. Both strands had the same bright ball before disappearing, but one ball (the one that fell further south) was slightly larger than the other one.

Remarks It first split into two fragments. Before they disappeared, the two fragments increased in size greatly, with a very bright light just before they stopped emitting light. But there were small sparkles following the trajectory of each ball.
