Remarks | I was driving and going around a curve. It appeared to be almost out of sight by the time I hit the curve but I can't be certain. Initially the brightness and color made me think a flare or firework as every other meteor I've seen has been a faint characteristic orange with a well defined trail. In this scenario, I opted to report as I would think a flare in my area would be both unnecessary and much more likely (lwgally) to be reddish in color. I also noted that it has a trajectory that wouldn't make mich sense if it were a firework given that it did not appear to be parabolic based on the seconds of movement I saw. Perhaps it was manmade given the odd circumstances, but the coloration stood out so I thought I'd report it and see. |
