It had a trail as it was streaking across the sky. I first saw it as a reddish dot and then there was a fire tail and then the tail dissipated and a U type of tail occurred. Then it faded away

After the U tail occurred the light went farther across the sky and then the like flickered disappeared, came back for approximately 2 seconds and then disappeared for good.
