Reports Report 973e (Event 973-2011)

Observer
Name Ed
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks This was unlike any meteor that I\'ve seen before, I\'ve seen about 7 individual meteors in my life by chance..this does not include a meteor shower event...these are individual sightings that I\'ve experienced in my 35 years on earth. I went onto my back porch which faces South at 6:30am Monday morning and within a minute or so I was looking out at the southern view and from my left side I saw the very bright blueish green and white glow streaking from my left to right. Even though it was fast it was the slowest streak that I\'ve ever seen from a meteor. It traveled at a steep angle roughly 30-35 degrees..this is also the steepest angle out of all the meteors I\'ve seen. This was definitely one of a kind from my experiences with meteors..this was also the closest one to me as well. I almost got in the car to look for it to cash in because it was the biggest one I\'ve seen to date but that also might be because it was so close to me.
