Experience Level | 2/5 |
Remarks | Was sitting in small clearing in woods with partial view of sky directly overhead. Sky was clear enough to see normal level of stars and distinguish passing LEO and MEO space debris. Fireball streaked across clearing in less than a second with very long and prominent contrail - could not make out the start or end of fireball trail. Appeared to be heading southeast and passed in general vicinity of Cepheus and Vega. |

Remarks | Straight, narrow glowing train immediately following fireball, very long and bright, dissipated in a few fractions of a second. Fireball was distinct from the train (ovoid shape in front). Could briefly distinguish the center of the train from the edges in terms of brightness before it dissipated. |
