| Remarks | It was so slow moving, at first I thought it was a small craft landing at a nearby airport. Then there was no trail for a moment. Then an even brighter trail appeared with a large white object out front. Thought instead it was a helicopter landing...it appeared so close and the decent became more straight down than before. Only realized it was a fireball when it exploded and left a trail in reverse. Also, I don't use email much....maybe twice a year. | Remarks | Initial trail looked like a small craft landing. Then no light for about two seconds. Then extremely bright white trail that descended faster...thought it then to be a helicopter landing. Until the explosion, which was Brite white with a yellow halo. Then a two second whitish trail after the explosion, in the direction the fireball came. |
| Fragmentation | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | Please see above description. Part of that reverse trail explosion was a fragmentation twice as wide as the explosion itself. Largest fireball I've seen in my life! Including the width of the white trail from south to north. I've witnessed near a dozen so far. |
