Observer

Experience Level 4/5
Remarks The meteor path was nearly perpendicular to the ground and approximately 10 degrees south of due east. It began at least 70 degrees in elevation angle and was visible until just above some distant trees, probably less than 10 degrees above the horizon. As it fell, it started as a light green, then blue and finally red. It also fragmented into at least 3 pieces and brightened 2 times while fragmenting. No associated sound was detected...Very bright during the entire event despite a bright 60% waxing moon overhead. Quite impressive!
