Remarks It was beautiful. I have seen plenty of shooting stars but never anything like this. We happened to be sitting out on our back terrace on a chilly spring evening with a fire and 4 adults. Everyone caught it at different times. I saw it the longest. About 4 sec. It had a tail of red, green and then white before dropping out of site. Most everyone else saw white. It reminded me of a comet though was what I would imagine a meteorite to be, definitely something passing into the atmosphere and then disintegrating and breaking before dropping out of site of the tree line. We live on hundreds of acres here, I have been admiring the night sky full of stars here for two decades. Like I say, this was like nothing I had ever seen in my 50-something years on earth, which is why I feel compelled to report it here on this site.
