I've included a photo in this report. My 1st report has no photo, only the link to my photo. I was doing a time lapse and this photo had a huge bright light unlike anything I've ever seen. I shot the photo with a 12mm ultra wide lens on a Nikon DX camera. 8 second exposure, 1 shot every 20 seconds (time lapse), aperture f/4, ISO 400. Polaris is directly above the large rock in the photo. I shoot a lot of night photography and time lapse. And never seen a light as bright and close as this thing was, and it moved pretty fast to cover that much area on a ultra wide lens in 8 seconds. It seemed to follow the trajectory of the moon. Sometimes I doze off when shooting long time lapse. It wasn't until I put together the photos in a video, that I saw the flash of light. Upon inspection of each photo, I came across this one with the light. Anyway, I hope this helps. |
