Remarks | thank you for recording this data. let me tell you about another event that happened last week: my husband was at home during the day and heard a strange whistling sound and then a thud on the roof. the dogs heard it too. when i got home that evening, i mentioned that there was going to be a meteor shower that evening, maybe the aquariad one or some such, and that we should be on the lookout when we take the dogs out. that's when he put it all together and we wondered if a meteorite had hit the roof. we went out and looked but could not see anything. odd to have two things like this happen in one week. let me know if we should report this one too, although he did not actually see anything since he was indoors. |

Remarks | i was outside with my dogs in my yard, and saw a sudden flash of light traveling horizontally over my front yard and then over my house. it was a cloudy night, and as far as i know, there were no meteor showers forecast. it traveled more slowly than a usual meteorite, much brighter and closer to the ground. after a few seconds, it got brighter and seemed to pulsate, then at least one part split off at an angle and disappeared quickly, while the rest of it continued in the original direction, more or less heading west. it continued for about 3 or 4 more seconds, and went over my house, still horizontally, then turned slightly downwards and disappeared. it was magnificent. |
