Reports Report 1110i (Event 1110-2017)

Observer
Name Daniel B
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I took the photo about 15 seconds after I saw the bolide. The elevation angle and azimuth are approximate since there were not many features in the sky and I was so surprised. I saw the fireball, stopped, looked down to get my phone, and then tried to match the view as best I could. I'm an infrasound geophysicist and I will see if any infrasound stations picked up the signal. I did not hear any sound but it is very windy so that alone would mask it. UPDATE: Two infrasound stations (TA 121A, 32.53 N, 107.79 W, TA 214A, 31.96 N, 112.81 W) picked up an infrasound signal. TA 121A, near Deming, NM has the first arrival and a nicely formed blast wave. TA 214A's signal is delayed and more spread out, indicating it was further away.
