| Remarks | Duration was right around 5 seconds or so, but maybe less, since I didn't time it and it seemed oddly close, as if it was going to land just a few hundred yards north of the cell towers near the Fairfax Station Train Museum. It also almost seemed slow, as if it were at most traveling no faster than a plane, 450 knots or so, but it was definitely a fireball, that flamed out just as it neared the ground. Windows were closed in my truck, but heard no sonic boom or sound of passage. |
