Remarks I am 72 yrs old and have seen a lot of meteors in my days. I believe what lite up the sky above the cloud cover was meteor passing by. if it was lightning i would have heard a boom. I listened for one but but nothing sounded.

Remarks I did not see a fireball or any trail in the sky. What i saw was a very bright light that lite up the cloud cover. I would describe it as a lot of sky that got very bright .
