Remarks | A very spectacular, multicolored display, red around the top arc of the fragmentation, deep green in the center and fading into yellow/white along the trails of debris. The most striking thing was the green flare in the center of the fireball. |

Observation | No |
Remarks | I was driving around 75mph at the time, but rolled my window down anyway, in hopes of hearing a blast. I was unable to hear anything I could associate with the fireball after listening for approx 30 seconds. |
Persistent train | |
---|---|
Observation | Yes |
Duration | 2s |
Length | 8° |
Remarks | After the initial flash, there was a nimbus of red/orange with a deep green flare in the middle. At least five trails led from the blast, gradually turning to white/yellow until they faded away. It was very remarkable in its display of colors. |
Terminal flash | |
---|---|
Observation | Yes |
Remarks | My eye caught an initial streak in my field of view, so I was able to see the initial flash of the fireball. It broke into a widely scattered field of debris with a green flare. At least five major trails led from the location of the initial flash. |
