I'm an Air Force officer and Aircrew member. The meteorite fragments headed 045 towards NE Canada. Most likely they fell far beyond that.

I saw it split and every time a flash, leaving smoke behind it. I could only see the smoke when there was another flash.

I saw a bright green flash and then many additional flashes as it fragmented into 20-30 pieces. Not all the pieces were on fire or exploded, only about 25% of them.
