Remarks Okay. I had almost forgotten about it until my local meteorologist, with whom I am friends on Facebook, put a post on Facebook asking if anyone had seen the meteor. I\'ll tell you what I told him. He said there was a meteor that was seen in the sky above Woodbury, TN and that it may have crashed on the ground close to the TN/KY border. Well, that puzzled me because what I saw seemed to be heading south. I was facing south and it was clearly moving away from me straightaway, as opposed to left or right. Also, the meteor he spoke of supposedly had a green color. The one I saw was the same color as most stars. I did a little research on the web and I read that there were two meteors in our area. Maybe I saw a different one. I don\'t know. But I am the only one so far to report seeing what looked like a slow shooting star that wasn\'t green and that was heading south. In my form I put that it lasted at least ten seconds or longer. I\'ve never seen anything last that long before that wasn\'t a plane. There was no train. I followed with my eyes until it disappeared. It was a little cloudy and I think that\'s what kept me from seeing more of it. My best description is a slow moving shooting star, heading south at a low trajectory. In other words, it was moving almost identical to the curvature of the earth. I hope this information is helpful. If you find out anything about a meteor heading south in the southeastern U.S. please feel free to send me an e-mail at: dpepper73@hotmail.com.
