Remarks | Four people were present. The duration was insufficient, just, to get a photo on an iphone. Azimuths were measured afterwards using an iphone compass but are nonetheless approximate. The time (UTM+11) was somewhere between 21:30 and 21:32. There was a bright trail and a rapidly intensifying, very bright, fireball which i recall as green and red, which then died out. It was an amazing sight. Although no explosion was observed the sense was, for one observer, of rapid slowing at tlhe end. Significant traffic noise in this spot would have masked any low level sound. |
