Remarks | I was standing at DIA waiting for the Pikes Peak parking bus. I flew Frontier so I GUESS that means I was on the EAST side. I was just facing like you would normally but I looked up in the sky just in time to see this spectacular sight. A fireball mostly green, white and some blue streaking and then vanished. It was quite large so may have been the terminal flash. No sound, however. What surprised me was how bright this was even though the ambient was still pretty light at 5:49 PM. It was quite a sight! |

Terminal flash | |

Observation | Yes |
Remarks | I think maybe what I mainly saw WAS the terminal flash. It was quite bright out still (5:49 PM by my atomic wrist watch.. it might have taken me a few seconds to look at my watch as I was in awe). It was just a fireball green, white and a little blue that streaked and then vanished. |
